Patriot shows extreme allegiance with its advanced systems, including an Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) that helps the driver maintain the intended course by using throttle control and applying selective braking to the appropriate wheel. Patriot's standard and advanced antilock brake (ABS) and traction control systems feature Brake Assist that automatically engages in emergency braking situations. The standard Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC) provides useful details like outside temperature, average fuel economy, distance to empty and more.

Safety and security come first. Both Patriot Sport and Limited models feature standard advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, supplemental side-curtain air bags, and roll-sensing technology for additional side-impact protection. Available front-seat-mounted side air bags help protect front occupants' vulnerable lower midsections. All five passengers have shoulder restraint seatbelts.

The standard rechargeable lithium battery-powered cargo lamp is easily removable and can be used as a portable torch.
