From standard supplemental side-curtain airbags to an Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Electronic Roll Mitigation that assists a driver in maintaining an intended course, Jeep Compass is loaded with safety and security features as standard equipment. Brake Assist applies maximum hydraulic pressure when a panic braking situation is detected. Even traction control is standard.

Both passive and active safety features are standard on all Compass models, such as multistage front airbags, supplemental side-curtain airbags, an antilock brake system (ABS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

The Compass is equipped with halogen headlamps together with highly illuminating front fog lamps providing safety when driving in foggy weather conditions. Featured also is illuminated entry and a removable and rechargeable LED cargo lamp/flashlight. Simply unsnap the portable flashlight when you need to search around in the dark.

A Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobilizer deters would-be thieves from breaking in your Compass. A Sentry Key Engine immobilizer automatically locks or unlocks the doors of your Compass, and the interior lights will illuminate. Every key comes embedded with a small chip, and when placed into the ignition, connects with the engine and allows it to start. If no connection is made, or another key is used, your Compass will not start.
